smile project

Yesterday in Te Ngahere we were learning how to smile and wave to other people in the school at lunch because we were doing a science project about making people happy. I liked this because I loved making the juniors happy. What I think I could do better was go to some more juniors because I didn’t do many people. I was so happy to make junior's happy because we gave them a reason to feel safe at Paihia School.  After lunch our teacher, Whaea Chrissy, was very pleased with us like she was about to give us a major promotion.

Technology

In Te Ngahere we went to Moerewa School for Technology. The year 7’s went to Mr E’s class which waswoodwork and the year 8’s, including myself, went to Whaea Dot’s class to make lasagne, which could give you a hint of what her class would be about.  We had to use different types of ingredients for the lasagne that were healthy but also delicious, but we  couldn’t do it by ourselves because it’s impossible for someone to get 2 jobs at once like trying focus on both the cooking and the gathering. My teammate was Darrius who’s basically my cousin. For our lasagne we had to have a writing book to glue 3 pieces of paper in to explain to us how to make a lasagne . Darrius and I chose some categories that were vegetables only. It took a couple of hours to cook but then I needed to make white sauce. I really enjoyed Technology and if you’re from Moerewa School and you’re reading thanks for the opportunity to let us do Technology at your school.
